Editorial policy
Sources and scope
HeyVaughan brings together local information with links to original sources. For event and service details, we use organizer, library, municipal, transit and other public-agency material where available. Other references are linked explicitly. Our coverage is selective, not a complete calendar or a live emergency-alert service.
Automation and human review
AI-assisted collection and drafting help find and organize information. Collected items and generated text are not automatically published. Human review and approval come before publication, including checking source links, dates and the claims in the edition. A successful fetch is not proof that a claim is correct.
The HeyVaughan byline identifies the publication responsible for the edition; it does not imply a named reporter attended an event. Commentary such as “Our take” is distinguished from the linked organizer’s details.
Dates and changes
Each edition states the dates it covers. Publication dates remain attached to the original edition. Material factual changes require review and an updated date; routine rebuilds do not make an old story new. Event schedules, availability, admission conditions and transit arrangements can change, so check the linked source before acting.
Corrections
When a factual error is confirmed, the correction should be checked against the source and explained on the affected edition, with the correction date and what changed. The original publication date is retained. This website does not yet provide a dedicated reader corrections form or inbox.
